STORM VS. SPARKS TO AIR ON ESPN MAY 13

All eyes will be on the Storm on Saturday, May 13, when Seattle takes the West Coast to play the Los Angeles Sparks, the defending WNBA champions, on ESPN at 2 p.m. PDT. The Storm took two of three from the Sparks last season and has won six of the last seven meetings. The Seattle-Los Angeles matchup will kickoff a 16-game regular season schedule of the 2017 WNBA slate on ESPN. In addition, ESPN will again televise each game of the WNBA postseason from the first round to the finals.

OPENING NIGHT PRESENTED BY SWEDISH MAY 14 – FREE ENTRY FOR KIDS

Seattle’s home opener will take place on Mother’s Day, May 14 at 4 p.m. PDT, as the Storm takes on the Indiana Fever for Opening Night presented by Swedish. The promotions include free admission for kids (up to four kids with purchase of one adult ticket) and free Storm t-shirts for the first 3,000 fans. Since 2006, Seattle has boasted a 9-2 record in home openers, and the Storm owns an 11-5 mark vs. the Fever at KeyArena.

Fans can follow the Storm on multiple social media platforms and join the conversation. The Storm is on Facebook (facebook.com/seattlestorm), Instagram (@SeattleStorm), Twitter (@SeattleStorm), YouTube (youtube.com/user/SeattleStormOfficial), and Snapchat (Seattle-Storm).

CELEBRATE THE NEW GENERAL ADMISSION FAMILY ZONE

The Storm introduced a new ‘General Admission Family Zone’ in 2017, and seating is located on the south baseline and will be available most home games this season. Kids will be encouraged to cheer as loud as they can and invited to run on the court during the Doppler Train. Prior to tipoff, the entire family can enjoy the Summer Fun Zone on the West Plaza, complete with face painting, bounce houses, music and more.
