Credentials must be visible at all times. All media with access to restricted areas will be required to produce photo ID and all bags with equipment are subject to inspection.
Seating at KeyArena’s press table is restricted to accredited working media representatives. Non-working media will be seated in reserved seat areas when seats are available.
Single-game credentials must be requested no later than noon the day before the game and by Friday at noon for Sunday games. You may request credentials by filling out an online credential application. Credentials are good for admittance to KeyArena through the credential entrance only, and grant access to home and visiting locker rooms during available media windows and the KeyArena Media Room.
Pre-arranged credentials may be picked up before the game at the media entrance. The media entrance opens two hours prior to tipoff.
MEDIA MEMBERS HOLDING SEATTLE STORM SEASON CREDENTIALS MUST NOTIFY THE STORM’S PUBLIC RELATIONS DEPARTMENT IF PLANNING TO COVER A GAME IN ORDER TO RESERVE SEATING.
Seeking autographs or souvenir items from players or coaches is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and subject to forfeiture of credential.
The media entrance is located at the bottom of the ramp in the South Parking Lot of KeyArena. Only media members who hold Seattle Storm or WNBA media credentials will be admitted through this entrance.
THIS IS THE ONLY ENTRANCE THAT MEDIA ARE PERMITTED TO USE.
SEATTLE STORM MEDIA ROOM
The Seattle Storm Media Room is located on the lower west concourse outside Aisle 15 of KeyArena. The Storm Public Relations Department must limit media room usage to members of the media only when valid Storm or WNBA media credentials are presented. It is impossible to accommodate family members, friends, guests or others.
The professional intent of the room is to provide a meeting and work place for the media and game personnel. Any abuse of the media room and/or media privileges will cause forfeiture of credentials.
Wireless internet is available in the media room and the lower bowl. Hardlines are also provided and are encouraged when working in the lower bowl. Please contact a member of the Storm Public Relations Department to gain access.
Your cooperation is asked in maintaining a working atmosphere at press row. No cheering or personal photos will be tolerated and may result in forfeiture of credential.
Both the Storm and the visitors’ locker rooms will be open to the media for 30 minutes, beginning 90 minutes before tipoff and ending 60 minutes before tipoff.
Both locker rooms will be open for 30 minutes following the game. Cell phone usage by credentialed media is prohibited inside locker rooms.
Only those photographers on assignment will be allowed space on the floor and photo credentials must be visible at all times.
Photographers are allowed only within the designated photographers’ area at each end of the court.
All photographers and camera operators must stay at least four feet behind the baseline at all times.
Photographers must remain seated and stationary at all times, except during quarter breaks and halftime.
Photographers are not allowed on the court at any time during the game.
No food or drink is allowed on the playing floor.
Photographers cannot photograph from court entrance/exit vom’s or the escape lanes on either side of both baskets.
When placing tape on the court, photographers must receive authorization from a member of the Storm Public Relations Department.
PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE LOCKER ROOM
No still photography is permitted in either team’s locker room at any time.
Credential requests must be received by noon the day of the game. News crews are restricted to crowd interviews on KeyArena’s main concourse only. Interviews are not allowed in the vomitories on any level of KeyArena.
News crews are not allowed on the Suite Level of KeyArena unless accompanied by a member of the Storm Public Relations Department. In order to enter a Suite, each news crew must have permission from the individual Suite holder to enter their respective Suite. Once permission is granted, the news crews must inform a member of the Storm Public Relations Department.
During game action, news crews must shoot crowd reaction from designated areas. Check with the Storm Public Relations Department for locations. No interviews will be allowed within the seating bowl once game action begins.
All international media (affiliations distributed outside of the U.S.) requests are handled by the NBA International PR Department. Any international media member interested in covering a Seattle Storm regular season game must first submit a request in writing to the WNBA/NBA. Please do not contact the Storm individually.
All credential requests must be received at least three business days prior to the first games requested.
Photo identification will be required when picking up confirmed credentials at the Storm Media Entrance.
